Digital Purgatory
It’s been five months and counting since I installed my new Ghost site. Only after 60+ emails, and hours of troubleshooting and tech support over nearly a month, was the offending code discovered and rectified. I didn’t realize I was installing Ghost 6.0 the day it was released. What took a couple days last year, dragged on for a weeks.
Same challenge with Mailgun. It took a couple hours last time, and now with the new Privacy Policy requirement and verification, and test email requirements, it takes more than a week.
And this was before Microsoft released 25H2, the major update that has screwed up power and sleep settings and caused endless problems with sound settings. I’m still waiting for the drivers necessary to support my Shure X2u interface for my Shure microphone. Luckily the cheap Blue Icicle I have as a spare still works. I have restarted my fairly new (thanks Microsoft) Windows 11 Pro OS more in these past few months than my old computer with Win 10 in the past 10 years. Enshittification is real!
